Bahadur Singh was born on 8th April 1949 in village Goslan, District Ludhiana, Punjab. An
accomplished scholar, he holds degrees in B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed., M.A. (History & Public
Administration), along with diplomas in Office Organization & Procedures, Population
Education and Sikh Studies. He has dedicated his life to education and literature, serving in
various capacities such as Principal, School Inspector, Project Director, and as an educational
advisor with the Chandigarh Administration.
A prolific writer, he has authored around 110 books covering poetry, children’s literature, essays,
social songs, mini stories, and proverbs. His famous works include Anmol Kirna, Bal
Sugandhian, Dil Mera Nanke Piya, Sher-E-Punjab, Vigian And Insan, Rang Punjabi Virse De
and many more.
Bahadur Singh’s contributions to literature and society have earned him numerous accolades,
including the State Award (1982), Bal Sahit Purskar (2005), Shanti Doot Purskar (2007), and the
Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi Award for Children Literature (2020), among many other lifetime
achievement honors.
He is actively involved in social work and heads several organizations such as Sarv Sikhya
Sudha Samiti and Divyang Welfare Society. His relentless efforts in promoting education and
Punjabi culture have been widely recognized and celebrated by literary and cultural
organizations.
Currently residing in Chandigarh, Bahadur Singh continues to inspire generations through his
writing and social service and is actively associated with Hind Di Chadar Foundation as its
Executive.
