Dr. Shivendra Singh, a distinguished library and information science professional with over
30 years of experience in academic and special libraries, particularly in the medical,
pharmaceutical, and management education domains.
Dr. Singh is currently serving as the Senior Librarian at the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, where he plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, expanding
access to digital medical knowledge, and supporting healthcare education through robust
library systems. Prior to this, he made significant contributions at Baba Farid University of
Health Sciences (BFUHS), where he was instrumental in developing the Central Library of
Guru Gobind Singh Medical College & Hospital, Faridkot—especially during its period of
institutional expansion.

Athabasca University, Canada constantly staying ahead of trends in digital librarianship
and research support.

delivery, and user-focused service models. His deep interest in evaluating e-Resource
Usage rise (eRUr) and strategic planning has led to significant improvements in digital
resource access and student-researcher engagement.
He is also an accomplished scholar, having authored over 70 publications, including journal
articles, book chapters, and conference papers. His research is well-indexed in platforms such
as Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate. His scholarly commitment
has earned him accolades including Emerging Librarian of the Year 2019 by the Health
Science Library Association and recognition as a Certified Publons Academy Supervisor.
Beyond his institutional responsibilities, Dr. Singh has actively contributed as a resource
person, guest faculty, and panelist, including at IGNCA, Makhanlal Chaturvedi
University, and Kurukshetra University, delivering lectures and conducting training on
